Using the Aarke Carbonator Pro is extremely easy, because it comes with a detailed manual. After inserting the CO2 cylinder and filling the glass bottle with water, a few pushes on the top button were enough to create soda water. The whole process took just a couple of minutes.
One of the standout features for us is the environmental friendliness. The glass bottle reduces plastic use, and the CO2 cylinder is made from 100% regenerated CO2. Additionally, the nacgube operates without batteries or power, which is a great way to save resources.
We also love the quick setup and customizable fizz levels, which make it possible to tailor the carbonation to your taste. It’s amazing being able to choose between a gentle fizz and a more intense carbonation burn, depending on your mood.
The elegant design is also worth mentioning. The Carbonator Pro looks fantastic in our kitchen and its sturdy yet minimalistic look fits well with most decor styles.
However, there are a few drawbacks. The machine is quite large and heavy (20 inches tall and 17 pounds), making it difficult to store or lift. It’s also expensive at over $300 and doesn’t offer many new features compared to less expensive models. Additionally, it requires separate CO2 canisters, which can be inconvenient to replace.
Overall, despite its size and cost, the Carbonator Pro’s ease of use, environmental benefits, and sleek design make it a great addition for sparkling water enthusiasts.

Using the Drinkmate Omnifizz was a game-changer for us. It’s incredibly easy to use and makes sharp, zingy sparkling water in seconds. What really sets it apart, though, is the increased control and greater range of utility it offers.
The Drinkmate is built differently from almost all other soda makers. The infuser, which you attach the bottle to, has both slow and fast pressure release tabs. This design makes it easy to avoid messes from an over-carbonated beverage. The slow pressure release is particularly important for the Omnifizz’s best feature: its ability to carbonate liquids other than water.
Drinkmate is one of the few soda makers that allows you to carbonate non-water liquids. This opens up endless possibilities – you could carbonate apple juice or even milk if you’re feeling adventurous. The slow pressure release is crucial here, as liquids with sugar or fat foam more when hit with CO2, and a quick release could cause a blow-up.
If we had to point out a downside, it would be the Drinkmate Omnifizz’s appearance. It’s not the most attractive machine on the market. However, its sheer versatility and relatively affordable price tag make up for this minor flaw.

The SodaStream Art has a beautiful sleek and simple design – its a mix between modern convenience and retro vibes. It took us basically no time setting it up, since the only necessary step is snapping the bottle into place! Make sure to buy the correct bottle and cylinder types since it exclusively uses the quick connect system – but you do get one free cylinder with this bundle!
The SodaStream Art allows complete control over the fizziness levels, creating long-lasting bubbles that can stay bubbly for days in the fridge. The formula is simple: the more you crank the lever, the bubblier the water gets.
While the machine only carbonates water, SodaStream offers a variety of flavors to add afterward. From classic sodas like root beer and cola to fruity options like pineapple and lemon, and even kombucha concentrate, there’s something for everyone. We had a blast experimenting with and tasting the different flavors!
Cleaning the SodaStream Art was also a breeze. With few moving parts and only water to carbonate, a quick wipe-down of the exterior and the carbonation needle was all it took to keep it tidy. Overall, the SodaStream Art is a fantastic addition to any kitchen, combining style, ease of use, and versatility.
